The official ceremony signed the memorandum of co-operation between the Kosovo Business Recording Agency (ARBK) and the Central Register in the Republic of Northern Macedonia aimed at developing and expanding business registration systems between the two countries.
ARBK General Director Nedmie Selimi, in this case stressed that through this memorandum of co-operation we intend to co-operate fully between the two countries to promote and improve innovations and strengthen our business registration systems. “E have found it necessary to have broader bilate co-operation between the parties to strengthen our existing business registration systems, creating a mechanism for having regular exchange of information and best practices and to undertake other co-operative activities”, the director Selimi stressed.
She added that with this co-operation, insurance will be made possible in proper management, protection and use of business registration rights in both countries, and at the same time this memorandum will pave the way in all spheres, dealing with the most advanced business registration systems in general.
While the director of the Central Register in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Maria Boskovska Jankofski, argued that one of our strategic activities is to establish the registry of real owners to legal persons, where through this registry, our institution will join in fighting money laundering and against financing terrorism, and will raise the level of financial circulation transparency to a higher level.
The hope that this memorandum of co-operation will help improve the business climate and develop the economy between the two countries, given that many legal subjects or businesses already circulate and operate on both sides”, said director Maria Boskovska Jankofski.
This memorandum helps promote co-operation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Northern Macedonia, in addition to exchanging information on business registration, will also influence deepening co-operation in other areas of common interest for both countries.
