In Medvedja today local elections, “final” for Albanians

By morning, 28 polling stations have opened, while voters must choose 25 municipal advisers, who later elect the mayor.
These choices are competing: Aleksandar Vuciq's SNS, Serbian rightist coalition APN DPA led by Muharrem Salihu, the other Albanian PVD party, two smaller Serbian parties, while these elections are being filmed by the Serbian opposition League for Serbia, INA follows.
These elections are crucial for Albanians, as their number is gradually cleared from electoral lists. But, many citizens of Medvedja who have been displaced in Kosovo, mainly in the Fusha Kosovo municipality since 2015, have been erased from civilian records.
Even the candidate for mayor from the Albanian ranks, Muharrem Salihu, has said that compared to 4 years ago, there are about 4 thousand fewer voters on the voter list.
Recognisors of developments in the Valley say they expect Albanians living in Kosovo, mainly in Fushe Kosovo, today to respond positively to the elections.
