The Democratic League of Kosovo has called on police to identify and bring to justice those who are spreading false news.
The previous day, a Facebook page supporting Vetevendosje Movement, has slandered that the LDK and Vjosa Osmani are paying from 10 euros participants at the LDK election gatherings. Against this low slander, the LDK has witnessed tens of thousands of members, supporters and citizens who have participated in our gatherings, willingly and their free will, said the report.
The LDK calls on Prosecution, Police and other law enforcement institutions to investigate the phenomenon of false and deignive news, as this phenomenon constitutes criminal offence and is a serious violation of the rules of the election process.
Similarly, the LDK calls on local and international election observers, as well as embassies of friendly countries, to use their influence to disrupt these low phenomena that undermine the election process.
“The LDK guarantees all citizens that their free vote in the 6 October elections is guaranteed, so we seek consistency for supporting our programme and candidate, Vjosa Osmani”, the LDK statement concludes.
