The former president and former prime minister of Serbia, Vojislav Kostunica, has declared there was a proposal for resolving the Kosovo issue and that it was based on the Hong Kong model.
Kostunica, as Kurir writes, listens to Telegrafi, says this model would be compromise, which would exclude all extreme options and be successful, stable and functional.
A supervised autonomy, unlike supervised independence, in accordance with the UN Charter and the Constitution of Serbia. In this way it would be possible for Albanians in Kosovo's Autonomous Khrahina to govern and achieve their own interests. On the other hand, Serbia, in accordance with the UN Charter would preserve sovereignty and integrity”, he has said.
After withdrawing from state and party functions, Kostunica has been drawn from political life, and in his long-standing presentation, has estimated that his “proposal for substatic autonomy would provide a stable and sustainable solution to Kosovo status”.
He, however, has not been clearly declared in the question of whether his proposal today would be a sustainable solution for Kosovo.
