Kosovo again to withdraw Interpol membership application

But even though Kosovo has already submitted its membership application to this international organisation, the Government in Kosovo's resignation is warning of withdrawing from the vote, just as it had done in 2017 for fear that the necessary votes would not be secured.
Foreign Ministry officials have stated they will suspend the vote unless circumstances are favourable for Kosovo. On the other hand, government representatives in the resignation consider Kosovo not damaged even if it retires this year.
On the other hand, Burim Ramadani, connoisseur of security issues -- simultaneously a member of the government's resignation -- has stated to “Zerin” that Kosovo's withdrawal from the voting procedure this year is not damaging.
I think that Kosovo membership in INTERPOL is the strategic interest of Kosovo and the entire region. However, commitment to this should be in full co-ordination with Kosovo strategic partners. Even withdrawal from the procedure for 2019 is not damaging”, Ramadani said.
He said that “in 2020 Kosovo and partners should start a comprehensive programme since the beginning of”.
