Five other people are in danger of life, four of them are life - threatening burns, and one has had a heart attack.
Police are still investigating the cause of the explosion at the Freudenberg Festival.
According to agency The DPA, it seems, oil from a large frying pan caused an explosion in a local “Bakes party”, where about 100 people participated.
“Bas fest” is an annual celebration of the start of the traditional old furnace in the village.
