They finance but do not represent: No single candidate from the diaspora on the VV MP list

But that party, however, did not reserve any seats for any diaspora representatives on the candidate list for MPs, writes Periscopi.

None of the seven branches of the Vetevendosje Movement in the diaspora has an MP candidate on the VV list prepared for the extraordinary elections to be held on 6 October.

The branch of Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Great Britain and Austria have not delegated any to the list, thus leaving the diaspora unrepresented in state institutions.

Although living abroad, each member of these branches has the right to run for MP in the 7th legislature of the Republic of Kosovo.

That's what Periscope, the renowned lawyer Arian Koci, said.

“Every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, who meets other conditions ahead by law, can run for deputy, provided he is elected back to Kosovo and fulfills his commitments”, Koci explained.

Periscop has tried to get answers from the Vetevendosje Movement on this subject, but even though it was promised that on Sunday we would have one written, not after a call during today, we did not get any answers.

Answer to the number of members of the Vetevendosje Movement and the interest of these members to run for deputies also asked the VV centres in Austria, Great Britain and Switzerland, but the only person to return us was the responsibility of the Vetevendosje Movement branch in Austria, Verim Mayzini.

He said that on this subject we could contact the general election staff of Vetevendosje and gave us no more information.

On the other hand, Albin Kurti's recent meeting with the Albanian diaspora took place in Switzerland, where it was hosted by many of its countrymen.

Albin Kurti's first words to the public were expressions of gratitude for the charter, for its role in all developments in Kosovo, and especially its national spirit.

“You are abroad but part of the nation”, he repeated several times, writes Albanian portal in Switzerland, Albinfo.

According to this portal, Kurti has already stated that, unfortunately, we have the best intellectuals, even the strongest and most honest entrepreneurs, best artists and athletes, in his opinion, the diaspora has hearts, brains, and muscles.

But, looks like the diaspora has everything but one representative on the list of candidates for the Vetvendosje Movement MP.

During this meeting, Kurti has called exiles to participate in the October 6th elections.

As of opening the deadline, according to data from the voting service, by Monday morning, 15 thousand and 200 voter registration applications have been accepted abroad.

We remember that once part of Vetevendosje as deputy was Florin Krasniqi, who had also been its great sponsor. We remember that neither other parties have placed any diaspora members on their lists for deputies. /Periscopi
