On September 3rd, the competition for student admission into dormitories and food in the cafeteria opened for the academic year 2019/2020.
The Student Centre's Intervention Director, Isak Beha, has said that the student admission competition at the Student Centre will be open by 13 September, until the results are released on September 23rd.
It has also shown the criteria that students who want to become part of the Center must meet.
According to him, the QS will give female gender priority with 60% of residence.
We have a total of 13 criteria from which students can score points. While the basic criterion for boarding is to be a regular student of the University of Pristina. The Student Center owns about 40,000 places for girls and boys. As for genders, we have given female preference. The country's distribution is 60 %s of countries are divided into female gender, while 40 % for male gender. The competition is published on the 4th and will be open by the 13th at 1500th. As the results are released on September 23rd”, he has said.
Beha has said that students who will not have the chance to become residents of dormitories will have access to food at the student cafeteria.
“Students who have secured points more, normally they also secure the place in dormitories. For the next number of students who don't get the scores, 1500 places for food in the student restaurant” have said Beha.
Beha also spoke of living conditions and food in the QS, which she said had worked hard, making the switching of beds, mattresses, floors, and the regulation of hygienic and sanitation devices, to offer a better life to residential students.
The “in the last three years QS has been focused, has built 3 new dormitories, has been focused on improving conditions in those dorms that were built before the war. Normally like any other year QS has made various investments, such as fixing hygienic, sanitation of their entire dormitories at dorm number 1. Change of beds to dormitories number 1, 2, 3 and 5. Bleeding in dormitories number 2, 3 and 7. Switching mattresses to four dormitories as well as changing the floor into dorm #5. The dorm number 6-7 is about to be turned on as a whip. All these investments are intended to improve the accommodation conditions for a better life of student residential students”, he said.
Also, Beha has announced that prices will be the same as in last year, a total of 35 euros per month.
All in the end, Beha has mentioned that on the basis of the internal regulation, certain categories will be free of payment along the way to the QS.
“The QS in the new academic year will operate at the same prices that were in the past year. Students will pay for the residence of 20 euros, while for food of 15 euros. A total of 35 euros per month will not change prices. Based on administrative instruction, even on domestic regulations, certain categories get points both for admission into dormitories and free from certain payments during the year remaining in the QS. As are the children of the martyrs, the social category children of the found, etc.”, said Beha.
