Two cocaine containers at Port of Durres

Two cocaine containers initiated by the Port of Piraeus in Greece with the destination of Durres Port are allegedly containing cocaine-like narcotics. The investigation is launched by Greek authorities, which have informed the Albanian side. The container arrived from Ecuador at the Port of Piraeus on September 14th.
Greek investigators found in them 45.8kg of cocaine. To find out those behind this international traffic, the Greek side allowed the route designated for the two containers to be completed. Thus, the Albanian side was notified and instructed to monitor in distance the two containers that had Albania's destination.
The container arrived at the Durres Port on September 17th. Albanian investigators have been monitored since then. On September 20th, 3 people approached one of the containers in Port Durres. After they realized they were being monitored, they left. One of them has already been arrested, while the other two have been identified and declared on the run.
Albanian authorities have informed Greek counterparts that in this case, international cocaine trafficking is involved in 4 people, and the investigation is still continuing. While the second container is still being monitored. There is no reaction from the Albanian police because the investigations are under way.
For six days, containers are staying at the port of Durres, while the action is expected to be finalised during these days and police are expected to open containers. /tvclean.al/
