The political subject may not be certified in case it has not made fines compensation.
The “among the legal obligations the political subject must meet to be certified for participation in the elections is also: paying off fines. The Central Election Commission has asked for written confirmation from the Electoral Panel for Ances and Parases if the political subjects that have applied have paid fines” in full, CECA spokesman Valmir Elezi has said.
While a candidate may not be certified if the documents KEC has requested, he/she has not handed over, and among them is the Candidate Certificate Forum.
“Political subjects that have applied for participation in these elections have handed in some documents that have been requested by the CEC, and among them is the candidate Certificate Forum. Within this form is a Declaration that is signed by the candidate, through which proves he is not in any position that would make his candidacy impossible based on Article 29”, Elez says.
While the CEC has written that any candidate or political subject has a right to a complaint if not certified.
“The political subject or candidate, which is not certified by the Central Election Commission, could complain of the CEC's decision in the Election Panel for Ances and Parastesa”, the CEC reports.
Early elections will be held on 6 October of this year.
