800 Serbs return to Kosovo

Through project “RER4”, which has funded the EU and the Ministry for Return and Community, in the Serb settlements of the municipality of Istog have returned 800 Serbs, while Cerkoles Serbs have not moved at all from the village. Serbia has financed the construction of a drying coma with a capacity of 800kg per 24 hours in the largest Serbian village of Osojan, writes the newspaper “Zeri”.

The return of Serbs to the Istog municipality is continuing, though in the parallel municipality of Istog, operating in Osojan, they have expressed dissatisfaction with the number of returning Serbs. To help return the Government of Serbia has continued to finance different projects for Serbs in different parts of Kosovo through the Serbian Office.

One project, which has the cost of about 60 thousand euros, has been realised in the largest Serbian village in the municipality of Istog Isojan, while all Serbian state institutions also operate in this specially inhabited village. In fact, in Osojan it functions with all its Serbian municipality of Istog, while parallel chairman is Malisha Djuric of Osoyanni. A drying municipality for the needs of Serbian families returning to the territory of the Istog municipality was in Osojan on Wednesday.
