Disgusting with the pre-election coalition between the former President Milaim Zeka's Euro-Atlantic Party and the Kosovo Republic Party have prompted some of the latter's candidates to make a decision to withdraw from the Kosovo Assembly's race for deputies. Ibrahim Abazi was one of the candidates, who in this election was competing for deputies, but the day before, he was decertified by the CEC, KTV reports.
Aazi says he decided to withdraw from this race when he learned that the Republicans would melt into the newly formed Euroalitanic Party.
Adil Beqaj was also the next candidate to withdraw from the race for deputies.
Although in his Facebook profile, Beqaj has written that it was the coalition with the Euroalitanic party, which had prompted him to withdraw from the race, Beqaj, contacted by KTV, has said he has withdrawn for personal reasons.
But, according to party chairman, the Kosovo republics Faton Kurti, this has not been the reason for the withdrawal of these candidates.
He, over the phone, told television they've already been replaced with other people.
In addition to these candidates, the CEC de-certified two other candidates -- Selvette Ibrahimi from the EPK and Nita Etem from the Word party.
KTV has contacted Euro-Atlantic party chairman Milaim Zeka, who has said that Abraham has withdrawn from the race for family affairs.
Meanwhile, party owner Gezim Kelmendi, by telephone, has said Nita Ethem has withdrawn because of family pressure.
