On 26 September 1998, in the Upper Abria, Serbian forces committed one of the worst massacres during the war in Kosovo.
On this day 23 members of the Deliu family were slaughtered, among them women, children, and elders from six months old to 94 years of age.
By September 25th, the Deliu family had taken refuge in the mountain to escape the Serbian extermination attacks.
A day later, on September 26, about 10:00 a.m., Serbian infantry had penetrated it. On this occasion there were heard gunshots and shouting.
After the attack, it was found that all victims, children, elders, women, and young ones had been shot in the head and slaughtered until they were trying to escape the attack.
The bodies of the executed showed clear evidence of a slaughter.
