During the year 2018 alone, 22 people had died in the workplace, and during this year, there were several such cases.
But to inspect the workshops, there are not many busy people.
There are about 40 inspectors who must oversee the entire territory of Kosovo.
And for the employment of 20 new inspectors, it had been promised since 2018.
However, the inspectors' recruiting procedure, even after eight months of 2019, has not yet been completed.
The officer's duty, Valon Leci, shows why.
“It's been kept in writing, but in drafting the short list we've had complaints from the parties and when there's a complaint about an administrative act we're forced to suspend the procedure until the final decision”
According to Leci, depending on procedures based on the law on civil service, their employment will also be made.
Meanwhile, the lack of job inspectors has also been highlighted in European Commission reports.
