This party's MP, Liburn Aliu, has said they are in discussions of the pre-election coalition with the LDK, as such a coalition is one of the possibilities for the situation in the country to change, according to him.
“We are holding meetings with political representatives so that prior to the elections there will be guarantees that there will be great change in this country. One of the possibilities for change is the pre-election coalition issue. These options are being discussed, and I believe there will be results. We are on the way for something like this to happen”, Aliu said at a news conference.
Ali: Rivers are being destroyed, institutions are silent
At this conference, MP Aliu has also talked about the situation in the country's rivers, which he accused of companies licensed for minihythrocentrals who, according to him, are committing legal violations and damaging them.
He said institutions are failing to preserve rivers that matter not only to the environment but also to people's lives.
The government has fallen since the day it resigned. There's been silence of institutions. Looks like the only activity left in the campaign. There are mechanisms that have no thought of campaigning, and that's the degradation of rivers. Clearly, thermal power plants are being done without deep environmental analysis. We have been following requests from the MMPH ombudsman, but without response. The ministry argues they have no mandate that they are awaiting answers from the Constitutional Court.”, he said.
Aliu said that as far as the ministry, they say they don't have madas in the field continue the works.
He said he visited Sherpza, where he saw it intended for water to enter the pipe and no one is taking action.
That water keeps the entire ecosystem alive. It's pointless which mind has intended to get these rivers into tubes. All that damage to the inhabitants by leaving them without water so that someone could profit illegally. There are concrete investigation issues here. The Bistrica River has already been shut down, put in the pipe. They want to do the same in other rivers in Kosovo. The same situation was presented in Lumbardh. This is not just about the environment, it's about the lives and economy of citizens”, he said.
Prime Minister Haradinaj had decided last year to ban hydropower plants in the Pec region, until a sharp analysis on environmental impact is made.
