The Finance Ministry has changed the tax procedures directive, giving businesses the right to pay for tsk debts in installments.
So far businesses have been allowed to pay in installments only for direct taxes, such as profit tax. But for another, this facility has not been offered.
The added tax is a tax paid by the consumer at the final price of the goods or services he buys from the business. The latter only serves as a fiscal agent, who collects the television for the government's account. That is why the government has not so far allowed compensation with installments of payments for increased tax.
But now the situation has changed. Tax sources told Top Channel that there are a large number of businesses which have a backlog, either self-declared or even assessed by the tax administration.
Within the framework of anti-informity action, the finance ministry has decided to offer the ease of paying in installments to those businesses that have backd-off taxes on added value, by linking tax deals.
Under the directive, to benefit this ease businesses must apply in writing to the regional tax directorate and after approval pay 20 per cent of their obligation, while the rest are paid in installments.
