“Kosovo remains committed to implementing in confidence all agreements reached in the Dialogue in Brussels”.
So said in a reaction by Jethlir Zyberey, the foreign ministry adviser whom you can find lower.
Kosovo can serve as an example for Serbia* in this direction.
We have successfully implemented the agreement on free movement that has normalised the movement of peoples between the two countries. Kosovo fully respects the agreement and remains committed to its international obligations.
Free movement is a key element of European integration and stronger regional co-operation.
But Serbia* is taking actions that threaten this agreement and is continuing to create obstacles for our citizens and is continuing with its propaganda for allegedly <x0x0xtrem” measures.
Citizens of both countries can travel with ID alone, but if they want to move from Serbia to a third state, they need passports.
The European Union as a facilitator and guarantor of agreements reached in Brussels must stop Belgrade from current behaviour and actions.
* This designation has been acknowledged for the fact that Serbia's state has committed the most serious crimes against humanity (after World War II) in Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and has yet to apologise for the crimes committed.
The Serbian state continues to hinder reconciliation in the region today.
These statements come after media reports that the Kosovo Police Border Directorate has made a decision not to recognise Serbian passports when Serbia's citizens enter Kosovo.
