According to the statement, today's distribution of the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo accelerates the steps of the body of early parliamentary elections, following the resignation of Kosovo's prime minister and the lack of willingness of parliamentary political parties to create a new government.
In this direction, the president estimates that it is now in the interest of Kosovo's citizens that after a democratic election process we have a functional and accounting government as soon as possible, which copes with the challenges that await us as a state and society.
“Within my constitutional, legal and full compliance with today's decision of the Parliament, I will soon make a decision to decree early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kosovo”.
“These elections must be well organised, professional, to ensure a fair, democratic process, enabling a full monitoring of international and local organisations”.
Despite the distribution of the Parliament, the Republic of Kosovo continues to have functional and stable institutions, guaranteeing the continued work of institutions in meeting the needs of Kosovo citizens”, the Presidency Community says.
