Substity: Albanian can even get paid

The Albanian government has recently proposed a bill on how Albanian citizenship can be gained. This bill has expanded the possibilities of profiting citizenship by two other points.

In an interview for the media, sir. Interior Minister Rowena Voda explained what those two points are:

We have added origin and birth to Albanian territory. With origin we understand that the individual should have his forebears up to three degrees of Albanian origin”, Voda said.

Currently, children born outside Albania, but both parents have Albanian citizenship, automatically win the latter.

The children are easier to obtain citizenship if both parents are in Albanian citizenship”, the deputy minister added.

The innovation in this bill is that our country will also grant Albanian citizenship to foreign investors, who against a sum expected to be high but that has not yet been determined, can obtain an Albanian passport.

According to Deputy Minister Voda, this will be done for economic purposes of our country, avoiding allegations that could be linked to illegal activities of those who will obtain Albanian citizenship.
