According to local media, in the coming weeks an additional fourkm of thorn wire siege will be set up, especially in areas near the Cup River, between the Vinica and Zunica municipalities.
However, there are voices for and against siege at the border. There are those who say the siege is an instrument to help police block those who try to cross the border illegally.
The Slovenian Interior Minister has clarified that additional barriers are located in areas where it is considered necessary by police to prevent illegal immigration. Currently, according to data distributed by the Slovenian press, it refers to 179km temporary technical barriers along the Slovenian-Croatian border, out of which 116km of thorn wire and 63km of panels. /tch
