Periscop sources within the Kosovo Liaison Office in Serbia have said the 9-year-old has been repatriated.
The minor “has been repatriated to Kosovo. All right, in the custody of grandparents”, these sources from this office said.
Four days ago it was reported on its case, while until today it was standing at one of the Centres for Social Affairs in Serbia.
Her uncle had tried to pull her out of Kosovo to Serbia through the Merdare border in a terrible form.
His niece (the sister's daughter) had packed it in, exactly at the destination location for the spare car, where she was found by the Serbian police.
Serbian media reported that the car the girl was hiding in was Germany's license plates while being run by a 42-year-old man, writes Periscopi.
During regular inspection, they said they had nothing to report, but customs officers found a nine-year-old Albanian girl hiding at the site for the spare tire. Then the police found the girl's files in the car, which is from Podujevo.
The car driver has told Serbian authorities that the child was his sister, who lives in Germany, and that while playing accidentally was hiding in the trunk.
The suspects have been arrested and, by order of the Prosecutor, have been sent to the hold for 48 hours, for which there is no further information.
The nine-year-old girl had left for Germany to join her mother. The girl had been trying to secure the documents for four years, but all attempts had failed. /Periscopi
