Everything is ready for the start of the new school year

That is what officials of the Ministry of Education said about Radio Kosovo. Even Pristina municipal officials say things are finished as planned and school objects will be ready for the start of the new school year.

According to data that has so far come from municipal education directors show that everything is ready for the start of the new school year. So told Radio Kosovo, Minister of Education adviser Fatmir Bytyci.

“As for preparations, we certainly have information that preparations in municipalities have been made. The ministry has an infrastructure department, which conveys information about the preparations it receives from municipal education directors. But municipal law for education carries most of the competencies to municipalities”, Bytyci has said.

Also, Bytyci stressed that this new school year has been identified by schools in which the entire daily learning application is expected to begin for the first time.

“This year we have a innovation where the commission has identified schools in which it is expected to begin for the first time in a whole day. This cannot be shown at all schools because additional infrastructure is required, but only in those schools which are identified by the Ministry of Education Commission in co-operation with the municipal education directorate”, Bytyci added.

As for preparations for the start of the new school year, Pristina municipality spokeswoman Miranda Mulafazliu, in a response to Radio Kosovo, stressed that everything is going according to the previous plan and school facilities will be ready for September 2nd, when the new school year is expected to begin.
