Being in opposition, The LDK and LVV during this legislature deepened co-operation until they had even ruled out the possibility of racing on a common list, whenever elections were held. But, after the election of Isa Mustaf at the helm of LDK, hopes for such a coalition have waned, “Koha Ditore” writes today.
Mustafa himself has ruled out this possibility, who has shown in what circumstances he would make a pre-election coalition with others.
Mustafa has started his third term by meeting US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip Costett, with whom he has discussed domestic elections in the party and the current political situation.
According to the announcement, Mustafa has announced Costetti's governing programme, “where priority will be fighting corruption and organised crime, closing dialogue with Serbia, accelerating integration processes in Euro-Atlantic structures, unlocking economic potential through private sector support”.
