In an interview for KosovoPress, Ruairi O'Connell has said the link between the two countries is very unique, there is a lot of love because of history.
But, he adds, his job is to preserve and promote the interests of the country that represents him in Kosovo.
The “relations between Kosovo and Britain are very unique. We have a wish because of history. My job is to preserve and promote the interests of my country, Britain”, O'Connell says.
In addition, he adds that Britain has the right to give criticism, as Kosovo's failure also affects it.
“Being a European democracy, we have the right to criticize others. We have an interest in Kosovo's success, but if Kosovo fails, it also runs in Britain”, he said.
In the end, O'Connell said that criticisms of corruption and nepotism and other negative phenomena should be done, as these are in the interest of the two countries' societies.
