Norwegian plane parts fall into residential area

The metal parts of Boeing 787, of the Norwegian company Norwegian, which fell off the plane immediately after the lift, dropped like a “bullet frame” in the residential area.

Citizens living in a settlement near Leonarddo da Vinci of Fiumicino in Rome were hit on Saturday by smaller metal parts of the 20cm.

One resident said that everything looked like a steel and metal storm and that he went home because of it.

A dozen cars and homes were damaged in the area of Isola Sakra, located south of the city and the airport, and a person reported minor burns.

Mayor Fiumicino, Esterino Montino, wrote on Facebook that the incident took place at 4:40 a.m. local time after the plane had collapsed and that metal parts fell at high speed on the ground.

“They hit parked cars, gardens, other objects and damaged”, Montino said, adding that police officers, firemen and civil protection representatives immediately appeared at the scene.
