“While the Kosovo side is working with increased capacities, for a waiting car at the point Kosovo's control takes 3-5 minutes. Also, the Serbian side has not yet been transferred to the new facility of the Joint Border Point in Merdare, which is built by UNOPS”, Mustafa said.
He appealed to the countrymen to exploit other border crossings between Kosovo and Serbia, and pointed out that Kosovo Police and Kosovo Customs are mobilised in the implementation of tasks and responsibilities at all border crossings with Serbia and other countries.
Otherwise, during this visit, Minister Mustafa was closely acquainted with the challenges facing police officials and customs officials at this border crossing point, at the time there is increased influx of travelers during the summer season.
