According to Meta, legal state elections are on 13 October 2019. On this occasion, Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again called on him to reflect and not prevent the implementation of the Republic president's decree on October 13th.
Meanwhile, Rama, on the other hand, has flatly declared that he does not recognise 13 October and does not have a decisive response on the part of opposition leader Mr. Lulzim Basha.
The bottom line is that October 13th 2019 is an inevitable day from a constitutional and legal point of view. It is an obligation to implement, beginning with the CEC, which has long been needed to start implementing the president's decree on October 13th and invite all political forces willing to participate in local elections, not those that are unwilling, and may never wish, it is their right”, said President Ilir Meta.
