Number of mentally ill people increased in northern Macedonia

Experts explain that summer season causes a lot of crisis in many people, especially people with psychological problems.

There is no record of which age or gender mostly affects this psychiatric disorder, while doctors say that long summer days also bring numerous suicide attempts.

The summer period can be dangerous for patients who have psychological problems because of many aspects. The day is long, with a large number of people proving how I'm going to spend the day, high temperatures also cause obstacles to the functioning of the day because sleep is not comfortable that make it difficult. During the summer the dynamic of life is very busy, there are many largely positive events like weddings and holidays, but these events can create concerns for anyone specifically in those who have psychological difficulties, Slavica Arsova, Skopje Psychiatry Clinic, said.

Among the most frequent psychiatric diseases are the result of depression, which marks increases both in the country and in the world.

“Depression like disease is on the rise evident even in global frames not only in us. The group of depressive anxios especially among young people, or anxiety, panic can often be urgent. This is the way of life, it's said this way “very fast with a lot of demands, both by itself and the circle, in a way it brings an increase in the overload of expectations which leads to increasing cases of anxiety disorders, and anxiety is a symptom of bearing”, said Slavica Arsova, the Skopje Psychiatria Clinic.

Within a year, some 15,000 cases of mental illness are recorded in the Ambulance of Psychiatric Clinic, while depression affects the top of the list of more frequent diseases on patients who appear in this clinic to seek help.
