In a proposal for Insider, Veliu has said he will reject Kurti's request and that the LDK has the candidate for prime minister.

“We have the general Council decision that we have assigned the candidate for prime minister and we have extended the VV's invitation, but other conditions in the LDK do not accept”, Veliu told Insideer.
Veliu has also said the LDK with candidate Vjosa Osmani.
We compete with our prime minister, with or without the VV. I don't see any possibility for a coalition with VV”, Veliu said.
