Of 1 euro as long as it was a ticket until a few weeks ago, illegal taxi drivers have decided to unanimously raise the ticket to 2 euros. And for this, under the condition of anonymity, one of the drivers has told Gazeta Blic that raising the ticket price has come with the argument that it is falling to wait in the columns.
The long Podujevo-Pristina columns have been the reason why I decided to raise the ticket price. One euro as it ran out, now we've raised it to 2 euro”, he said.
Asked whether this price hike concerns the arrival of exiles to Kosovo, he has denied it.
“It's not about exiles. We've decided together all of this and now we're going to do it”, he said, among other things.
However, a rising price has not been so well received by travelers. They say raising the ticket price to 2 euros is excessive and that they no longer have accounts to travel with these taxis.
Otherwise, the owners of 25 passenger transport companies on the Podujevo-Pristina line have protested several times in a row because of illegal taxis.
In fact, drivers represented by their association had said these steps were taken because of illegal taxis operating in this road relationship, and because the same people are not stopping municipal inspectors and police.
They said that some are already working at losses, since most travelers are taking away illegal taxis.
