Headship gathered, set for Assembly-proliferation session

Prime Minister Kadri Veselini has been the one who has invited the chairmanship after rejecting President Hashim Thaci's call to appoint a new mandate for prime minister after Haradinaj's resignation.

This meeting aims to officially and institutionally establish the positions of each parliamentary group regarding the situation created following the collapse of the Government of Kosovo, as well as concreteising steps to determine as soon as the date of early elections”, Veselin said.

According to him, the state cannot remain in institutional vacuum and without legitimate decision-making. He stressed that as Speaker of the Parliament, by respecting the Constitution and laws in power, he will take all necessary actions so that the country will soon hold free and democratic elections.

Meeting the Kosovo Assembly's chairmanship will be held by 11:00.
