Haradinaj: International pressure made me resign

In an interview given in RTV21, Kosovo's prime minister in his resignation, Ramush Haradinaj, has openly implied that international pressure has prompted him to resign from the prime minister's position, rather than as he earlier stated the invitation issued by the Special Court. He was asked about the tax on imported goods [...]

He was asked about the tax on goods imported from Serbia, which he said if the new prime minister removed it would make a tragic mistake, writes Periscopi.

Mr. Haradinaj said that by removing the Serbia tax, Serbia won in two forms, first by opening to the Kosovo market and second, allowing it to seek destabilisation to reach the country.

He has warned that if international pressure continues on Kosovo, then there is risk of destabilizing the country.

Haradinaj had resigned on 19 July. His party has linked the pre-election coalition with the Social Democrat Party. /Periscopi
