International Relations Professor Ibrahim Gashi has estimated that early elections could affect slowing the integration processes.
But, he has said the new government must accelerate the agenda of Kosovo's European integration.
In this interview given to the newspaper “The new era”, Gashi has declared that the new institutions should focus on Euro-Atlantic processes, on dialogue with Serbia, as well as on strengthening the legal state by adding to the fight against crime and corruption.
“I hope to have free elections, with strong participation in electoral measures and from this process to come up as soon as possible in the process of continuing dialogue and, above all, in the internal agenda of economic development and strengthening the legal state, by adding to the fight against crime and corruption<1>, Gashi has declared.
He has stressed that the dialogue agenda will be re-actualised immediately after the elections, even if at the top of the government it will be those who have rejected dialogue using illegal means to prevent this process.
