Templehoff Airport has seen significant developments in Germany, from the wake of Nazi airspace during World War II to the shelter of Syrian refugees.
In 2008 it closed as an airport and returned to a huge park, where Berlin residents leave summer evenings to walk.
But the latest change may be slightly more extreme. Regional Mayor “Mute” in Berlin has proposed small cabins where prostitutes can meet with customers near the airport.
This initiative will serve to increase the safety of prostitutes as well as to remove meetings from the streets of the city, as there have been complaints from citizens.
