Heavy rains caused massive flooding in Istanbul this Saturday, taking life at least one person and causing numerous material damage.
Some road axes were blocked as seawater in the Bosphorus Strait came upon asphalt, while many other roads flooded underpasses.
The body of a lifeless man was found at a underpass in the Uncapan District.
Even the pedestrian underpass at Eminonu Square was flooded, causing great damage to merchants.
Major floods damaged Istanbul's Grand Bazaar one of the oldest covered markets in the world.
Floods lasted for about two hours, causing the disruption of public transportation by ship.
The unusual August 17th floods were warned that the day before by Turkish meteorological services.
