EPIK shows what Kosovo benefits from 90.5m euros in IPA 2018

In September 2018, Kosovo and the EU agreed to the Financial Agreement for Pre-Accession Instrument 2018. The agreement was signed by the EU in February and Kosovo in April 2019. Tomorrow's Kosovo Assembly will vote Bill No. 06/ L-161 for ratification of Financial Agreement for IPA 2018 between Kosovo and the European Union.
The agreement has envisioned financing reforms in advancing democracy and good governance, rule of law, environment, energy, education, and employment.
Stocks “will be financed in the field of democracy and good governance New Professional Scheme” or Young Cell Scheme (YCS).
Through the stock exchange, Kosovo youth will be able to continue master studies at European universities. Likewise, support for the rise of Kosovo's Parliament capacity will be financed, as well as payment will be secured for Kosovo's participation in four (4) EU programmes.
In the area of rule of the law, it will support the approach of the legal and institutional framework with EU standards, as well as the strengthening of independence, professionalism, accountability and efficiency of the justice system.
Similarly, the fight against corruption, money laundering and financing of terrorism will be supported. In the area of fundamental rights, the economic empowerment of minority communities in Kosovo will be supported.
In the field of environment and energy, 40 million will be provided for addressing air pollution by replacing the environmental elements of Kosovo B, which will ensure the reduction of dust emissions and NOx. Also, 4.9m euros will be offered for sanitation in Pec, as well as development of infrastructure for integrated waste management across Kosovo.
In the education field, 13m euros will be offered to improve Kosovo's education system, with emphasis on advancing access to vulnerable groups to the education system, improving Kosovo's rating in P ISA, as well as the interconnection of the educational system with the labour market.
In the employment field, 3m euros will be offered for financing the establishment of Kosovo competitiveness and NVM support.
With 3.7m euros, the design of the Concert Hall will be financed, the approach of disabled people in public institutions will improve, and the communication of EU assistance to Kosovo will be advanced.
