In the event of the Kosovo Parliament's distribution on August 22nd, the Central Election Commission is ready to begin preparations shortly after President Hashim Thaci sets the date for extraordinary elections.
Despite the fact that the year 2019 has not been expected to be an election year, representatives of this institution say the CEC is ready for elections, though, according to them, the cost that would cover their expenses has not yet been set, the Voice newspaper writes further.
The last Kosovo parliamentary elections in 2017 have cost about 4m euros, and an estimated amount is expected to be divided again by the “culeta” of the state for their organisation this year.
While most parties already have their representatives in the CEC, the coalition PAN lacks a member in this institution...
