In a statement to Gazeta Express, the protection side of the Hoti family, lawyer Arian Koci, has stated that based on evidence he has, it turns out that the murder was carried out on purpose.

“We are still in the collection phase. Still no suspects or witnesses have been interviewed. We're hoping that next week they'll be interviewed. In the meantime, we're expecting some additional evidence. The autopsy report made on the victim's body is expected to come to us this week”, the prosecutor Gashi claims.
On the other side of the suspect's defence side of the murder, the lawyer, Orhan Rekatati, said his client has accepted the work he said he feels regret.
“He admitted he committed the murder. The investigation will continue further. He declared that everything happened there. There has been no conflict. There's no motive for revenge or anything. She's morally in every way well, not betrayed. Only marital discontent”, says the lawyer.
On the other hand, Rekathattian, claims his client told him he had never committed violence on his already late wife and that the rumor had been immediate.
