Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has said Togo is the 15th country, which has officially withdrawn recognition.
Dacic said about “Tv Pink”, that the note for attracting recognition Serbia received on June 28th, on the day of “Vidovdan”, broadcasts news.net.
Dacic was quoted as saying that he wanted to publicize it earlier, but the ambassadors of the UNT states, through a letter, had asked Serbia to stop in their campaign against Kosovo.
We didn't want this to result in our policy being based on change. We're doing our job”, Dachic stressed, broadcast the news further.net.
According to Daciqi, Belgrade's goal is for the number of countries that recognise Pristina to fall below half of the United Nations member states - below the number of 97 countries.
“This way, we understand that they (Kosovo) cannot do as they wish, they must go to an agreement, not that they think the issue is over. But it's not over”, Dachic stressed.
According to him, Kosovo cannot be a member of the United Nations because, as Daciq put it, Russia will veto the Security Council, but if Russia does not veto, it says that “we should have a majority of UN members on our side”.
Despite the UN member states' request, that Serbia ban its propaganda against Kosovo and the struggle to attract recognition of Kosovo's independence, Dacic says he will not stop this activity and will continue to bring an appeal to the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
