For long columns and long waits, Kosovo authorities had accused official Belgrade of failing to carry out duties in accordance with Brussels' free movement agreement.
Today, though, at the border point in Merdare, it was different from other days when long columns of cars could be seen.
Until summer holidays for exiles have almost ended, and the same must be returned to the countries where they live, they express disgruntled with the columns being made each year, blaming the country's institutions.
Our fellow countrymen have almost become immune from waiting up to seven hours on the border between Kosovo and Serbia.
However, this is the first time that Islam Sopiaj does not have to wait up to seven hours to enter Kosovo, or to return to his home and work.
We thought there was... in these seasons it never happened. Institutions know for themselves, they don't know what their people are taking away, not just today, but we're removing from the post-war, we have this problem. I've waited, seven hours, eight hours, today not”, he relates.
However, while today there has been a decline in these columns, Isaac Beka from Mitrovica, who was traveling to Germany, says he is glad that at least today they are not facing long expectations, until there are no columns even at other border points.
Very well, we were happy to see it normal... I hope it's like this in Hungary to have a good time. It's easier than we're coming, but when we're gone, it's harder, we're usually going to, normally,”, he says.
Ersim Morina, who is traveling to Hungary, told Kosova Prees that seeing the huge influx during these days, is surprised that today there is no column at this border point.

We were really surprised that there were no, we thought there were columns, I hope we cross the other borders... that's where we expect to have”, he points out.
According to the Centre for National Management, expectations for getting out of Merdare are 10 to 15 minutes, while entrances 5-10 minutes until the column is 30m long. At least that was the flow at this border point until 5:00.
Until a few days ago at this border point the column had reached up to two kilometers to get out of Kosovo, while waitings have been up to an hour to enter Kosovo.
The minister of Internal Affairs, Ekrem Mustafa, had reacted to this, who had accused the Serbian side of pillars and delays for hours at border crossings with Serbia.
