Bytyqi urged implementation of decision on increasing the number of new students in medicine

The incumbent Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Shyqiri Bytyqi, has hosted a meeting of UPI Steering Council member Wykan Bajra, projector Hysen Bytyqi and Merita Kocna-Berisha, as well as the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Susan Manjuka.
This meeting discussed the situation created for student registration at the School of Medicine for the new academic year 2019/2020.
According to the media report, Bytyqi said that the UP, respectively, should have the Faculty of Medicine implemented the August decision in terms of increasing the number of new students in two aspects of this faculty.

The decision to increase the number of students at the Faculty of Medicine -- General Medicine and Infermier respectively -- has been made on the basis of the UP's request. Such a decision has been made on the basis of the ministry's legal competencies, but also in co-operation with the Ministry of Health, consisting of it as an educational policy of national interest”, the report said.
Also in this announcement, it becomes known that Bytyqi has demanded that as soon as it starts implementing the decision, while UP and FM representatives expressed themselves ready to respect the STAT decision as previously seen in the decision.
