Police reported that the accident occurred in late Friday hours in the Kohistan region.

The authorities said that all the travelers on the bus were part of a large family who were returning from a wedding.

Police said an investigation has been opened regarding the case.

Rescue teams and police found it difficult to get to the crash site because of the difficult mountainous terrain. The situation has become even worse because of flooding.

Heavy traffic accidents are frequent in Pakistan, largely due to the failure of regulations and safety standards on the dangerous roads of mountainous regions in the northern part of the state, writes “Free Europe.
