President Jair Bolsonaro's office told CNN on Tuesday that the country will return the bid that was offered by the G750 summit on Monday.
The flames have caused a public debate between Bolsonaro and French President Emmanuel Macron, who has been vocal in his request for an intercompetitive answer to the forests.
“We are grateful, but those tools would probably be more useful to grow forests in Europe”, the president's office said.
Bolsonaro has sought public forgiveness from Macron, as he says public insults against him.
