John Bolton, American President Donald Trump's main national security adviser, was to visit Pristina and Belgrade, to talk about continuing dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
However, such a visit has been cancelled and will not be realised this month, KTV teaches exclusively.
There are two main reasons for delaying the trip: the collapse of the Kosovo government and continuing the tax.
In a communication from Washington, which KTV has seen, Bolton is said to be looking forward to coming, but that will only happen when a new government is created and tax tax is suspended.
Bolton's visit had been publicly warned earlier this month, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
He had said in a TV interview in Serbia that Bolton would come in late August to discuss continuing the dialogue, hoping that Pristina would move to the tax.
Bolton had taken time to meet Serbian Foreign Minister Daciq, in the margins of the Global Conference on Terrorisation, held in Washington during July.
Serbian top diplomat has said Bolton understands Serbia's position and his interest means the US does not see the Kosovo problem as closed.
Bolton, former US ambassador to the UN, is known as an open opponent of Kosovo's independence and is now among President Trump's most reliable men at the White House
