Acting Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli has expressed himself happy with the release of former KLA soldier Tomor Morina and the refusal of Serbian demand for extradition.
Pacolli, through a Facebook text, expressed gratitude to the authorities in Northern Macedonia for their co-operation.
“I am happy that the courts in northern Macedonia have decided to release Tomor Morina and reject the Serbian request for extradition. I am grateful to the authorities of northern Macedonia for the principled decision to make on this issue and the co-operation we have had to resolve it in the best way”, Pacolli wrote.
Former Kosovo Liberation Army soldier Tomor Morina has been released today from the prison where he was being held following the ban at Elez Han's Blace border, by northern Macedonia police, on the basis of an INTERPOL arrest sheet issued at Serbia's request.
Morina has just been released for Kosovo from the Shutka prison, where she remained for two weeks.
