Arrested by a policeman in Gjakova, three others suspended

According to the report, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) in two separate cases has conducted several investigative actions in consultation with competent prosecutors. As a result of successful investigations in one case, a police official has been arrested, and in the other case, recommendation has been given for the suspension of three KP employees.
The arrest of the police official has been carried out today (05.08.2019) in the evening hours where Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators have arrested a suspect (police officer at the Regional Directorate of Gjakova) on suspicion that the same one has committed criminal deportation and violence in the family”, the statement said.
According to the announcement, the arrest has preceded investigative actions, while suspects currently arrested at the state prosecutor's decision have been assigned the police detention measure for 48 hours until further judicial procedures continue.
Meanwhile, the second case was carried out today in Pristina, where the IPK has accepted information that three police officials have been involved in an incident following a dispute between each other.
IPK investigators have reacted immediately as they accepted the information, and the same are still taking investigative action on the IPK legal authorisation and consultations from the competent prosecutor.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, The IPK has recommended the suspension of three police officials involved as suspects in the case.
