The arrest was made last night in Nemea, Corinth. The kidnapped 31-year-old had disappeared for 20 days, and his relatives living in Albania, alarmed, had filed charges at the police.
However, it was a phone call from hijackers to the family that made them aware of what is happening to their son. The 4 people who kidnapped the 31-year-old demanded from the family 10,000 euros to free the hostage, for reasons still unclear. It is alleged that this action was taken to take only the amount of money.
The young man was taken by 49-year-old
The 49-year-old is thought to have a key role in the kidnapping of the young man because it was the one who took him from a bus station to send him to the house he held in co-operation with and with three other Albanians.
The phone set them up
After reporting to police, Albanian authorities immediately notified I NTERPOL. The location of the robbers was discovered by their mobile phone. I NTERPOL immediately announced the police department in Corinth, which conducted the raid on the residence in Nemea. There, they found the 31-year-old bound and four hijackers.
