Waste depots north of Mitrovica

The Mitrovica municipality has intervened several times by removing these wastes, but this has happened very rarely because of the management competencies of the neighbourhood.

After reporting, immediately the next day someone has set such wastes on fire, creating unbearable housing conditions because of wind and smoke.

One of the neighborhood residents of “Doctors”, Rex Miftari on the “Zyra Ankestra”, at RTV Dukaagjini, has said this waste depot is bringing many concerns to residents.

He said that even burning garbage has greatly affected the lives of these residents because of wind and smoke.

You've been reporting since the next day, someone burned this warehouse. Actually, those of us who are near home, we couldn't stay in our homes. We hope that the municipality will remove these wastes from here, so we don't have any problems in”, Miftari said.

Otherwise, Mitrovica municipality chairman Agim Bahtiri days ago on this show had said that the municipality had several times cleaned up this warehouse, and promised that within a few days they would clean it up again.
