Traffickingd people in Gjilan, detention required for suspect

The Founding Prosecutor in Gjilan, the Ra's Crime Department, on yesterday, July 17, 2019, stopped one person for 48 hours, allegedly committing human trafficking.

There is doubt that the suspect, J.K., with the aim of enrichment, has trafficked the damaged D.G., in a way that through tribulation has forced him to have sexual relations with different persons, while on February 28, 2019, he has transported the same with his vehicle to a motel in Gjilan, forcing him to have sexual relations with one person.

Also, by applying secret measures, the suspect has proved to have been using force against the victim in cases where she refused to offer sexual services, even personally having had sex with him, exploiting her vulnerable position.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan, today to the suspects, has demanded the appointment of a 30-day detention measure at the competent Court in Gjilan, for human trafficking criminal work, as there is danger of escape, damaged impact, and the risk of repeating criminal acts.

At the same time, the prosecution has also launched investigations into suspects L.C., in the direction of the criminal act, the sexual services of the victim of trafficking, the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
