The Russian Parliament, during Thursday, has supported the resolution urging the government to impose economic sanctions against Georgia, a move that could affect theósing of the political crisis between neighbours.
The proposed sanctions include banning import for alcoholic beverages from Georgia, mineral water and preventing the income of Georgians living in Russia.
Official Moscow has complained of anti-Kremlin protests in Georgia last week, and on Monday condemned the insults Georgian state television made to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Relations were strained two weeks ago. In Tbilisi, protests broke out against Russian officials' visit to the country, causing political earthquake in the country, which led to the resignations of high-ranking politicians.
In 2008, Georgia was at war against Russia, from which the Russian State prevailed.
